Neil Alexander stood down as ALDC’s Scottish Development Officer earlier this month but will remain a key member of the Scottish Lib Dem team as he has taken over as Campaign Manager.
ALDC is delighted to announce that Cllr Ben Langmead is the new Scottish Lib Dem Development Officer and will join the team at the beginning of August.
Ben is a councillor for Bearsden South on East Dunbartonshire Council, having had a thumping win in a by election in January.
The ASLDC and the ALDC team looks forward to Ben joining the team.
Cllr James Calder, commented: “I’m delighted as ASLDC Convenor that Cllr Ben Langmead has taken up the role of Scottish Development Officer and look forward to working with him in getting more Scottish Liberal Democrat councillors elected next year”.
ALDC’s Head of Development, Richard Cole said “Ben joins at a crucial time, with the pivot from fighting the Scottish Parliament elections to focusing on the council elections next May. It is great to have him on board.”
Ben will be meeting colleagues and candidates over the next couple of months.
