The deadline to submit expense returns for this year’s local elections is coming up and for most places will be this Friday 7 June.
If you have not yet submitted your expenses you must do so by the deadline. You can use our Election Expense Toolkit and Local Election Agents Toolkit to help you.
The deadline for principal council expense returns is always 35 days after the result is declared. For the 2024 local elections this means:
- Thursday 6 June for any result declared before midnight on Thursday 2 May.
- Friday 7 June for any result declared on Friday 3 May
- Monday 10 June for ant result declared over the weekend of 4/5 May
