ALDC are committed to electing more people from communities under-represented in politics to local government.
We receive funding from G8 for eight places at our flagship residential training weekend, Kickstart. The course is open to Lib Dem women who want to move forward with their political career in local government or who have ambitions for their area.
It is open to all women and non-binary people whose experiences or identities intersect with women’s and therefore feel they would benefit from accessing a women-centred space.
So, if you are a community campaigner who wants to see real change in your area, or if you want to stand for Parliament, or maybe you just want to find out more about a career in politics – apply now.
The process is competitive and the closing date is Tuesday 4 June 2024.
The Kickstart weekend takes place at Yarnfield Park, Staffordshire on the weekend of 21 to 23 June 2024. If you are successful, meals, accommodation, training and mentoring are all included. We can also help with travel costs. You can find out more about Kickstart here.
