Following the amazing local election results in May – in which we gained over 400 councillors and 12 new councils overnight – the Lib Dems are now in administration in 78 principal local councils across Britain.
In 69 of these we hold the leadership of the council – in either full control, minority control or as part of a joint administration. We also hold the deputy leadership in a number of joint administrations in England and Scotland.
