Elect Her Training Programme

Elect Her is a cross-party organisation that supports more female candidates to stand for election and get involved in politics.

Below is a message from Elect Her’s programme coordinator Zainab Asunramu regarding some of the excellent training programmes they are running over the coming months.

Our Peer Support Circles is one of our flagship programmes, and we’re excited for them to return again this year. This programme is for women who have decided that they’d like to stand and want to plan how to do so in more detail, alongside other women. This 7 week programme is facilitated by Patricia Bright and I, and it allows women to build community across the political spectrum, whilst simultaneously giving them the space to develop their personal and professional skills. Taking place Thursday evenings 27th April – 8th June 7:30-9pm. Read more and register your interest here: https://www.elect-her.org.uk/events-workshops/peer-support-circles-spring-2023

Our Superpowers Programme is a transformational 6 month programme for Women of Colour, exploring: leadership, values, optimising their mindsets, using their cycles to serve them and discover unique ways to look after their mental health and wellbeing. This programme is part of the journey of overcoming the barriers that WOC face when progressing in politics. The work will be the start of deep and transformative inner work and will help participants prepare for a life as a leader whilst ensuring they stay true and grounded in their values and principles. The sessions will take place once a month from the 13th May 2023, on a Saturday morning between 10am – 1pm. Women can apply for a place here: https://www.elect-her.org.uk/events-workshops/superpowers-2023

N.B This programme is our non-political offering for women who are seeking political office, getting more involved in politics or to secure leadership roles on boards or in the workplace. We have limited space on the programme, so women are encouraged to apply for a place only if they can make all/most of the sessions.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue to share these workshops and support on our social media channels, and we would love it if you could pass this information on to the communities/networks you work with via email, and repost on social media. You can access our channels here:
