ALDC’s Scottish Autumn Plans

This Autumn we have lots on in Scotland and as we focus on the lead up to next year’s Scottish Parliamentary Elections and the 2022 Council Elections, we know that this is a crucial time to boost up our campaigning efforts!

Training

Firstly it is a great time to upskill and we are continuing our Autumn Webinar program – including our first ever Scottish Virtual Motivate Day on Saturday 17 October from 9.30 until 1pm. This was a very successful event, please look out for another one next year.

So far we have had hundreds of people signed up to our webinar sessions which are designed to be a big help before our upcoming elections.

All webinars are free for any Liberal Democrats based in Scotland.

By-elections in Scotland

Secondly, ALDC is delighted to be supporting our many by-elections in Scotland this Autumn through financial support, resources, training, and expertise. So far this Autumn, we have provided support for by-elections including Perth City South, Ellon and District, Livingston South and Craigentinny/Duddingston. We hope you can help too.

Can you help with Virtual Phone Banks?

Do you want to help Liberal Democrats get elected?  We have set up virtual phone banks for these by-elections.  More details here

Scottish Liberal Democrats’ Virtual Autumn Conference 2020

ALDC is also delighted to say we will be participating in the upcoming Scottish Virtual Conference (Fri 30 October to Sat 31 October). We hope to have both an expedition stand where we can provide advice and information as well as further training sessions.
Please register for the conference here

2022 Scottish Council Elections

Finally, we want to continue to help local parties plan for the 2022 Scottish Council Elections. We plan to work alongside the Scottish Liberal Democrats to discuss with local parties across Scotland their plans for 2022 and how this can link into the 2021 Holyrood Election.

It looks set to be a busy Autumn – we look forward to working with you to support getting more Liberal Democrats elected in Scotland over the next couple of years.
