Our friends at the LGA Liberal Democrat Group have appointed a new head of office, Terry Stacy.

We’d like to congratulate Terry on his new role and we look forward to working with him.

The LGA Lib Dems notice of Terry’s appointment is here:

Dear All,

Just a quick note from all of us to announce that our new appointment to Head of the LGA Lib Dem office is Terry Stacy. Many of you will know Terry as former leader of Islington Council and more recently, political adviser to the Lib Dem Group on London Councils.

Terry will start on Monday 3 November and we look forward to working with him on new ways to support and represent our groups around the country during this crucial time.

We would just like to add our thanks to all those that applied and especially those that took the time to come and talk to us about the role. We had an enormously strong field of candidates from which to choose which made both short listing and the final choice difficult decisions. It is encouraging to see that the party has retained such talent despite our decreasing numbers.

Regards,

Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson (Leader)
Cllr Chris White and Mayor Dorothy Thornhill (Deputy Group Leaders)
Cllr Jill Shortland (Group Chair)
Cllr Howard Sykes (Group Whip)
