Pay dispute update – Cancellation of strike

“It is great news that the unions have been persuaded to call off this week’s strike and talk to their members about the recent pay proposals. We will now need to talk to our members as we cannot make a formal offer until we know that councils are happy with it.
I hope this will prove to be the beginning of the end of this dispute and provide a solution that will take us to April 2016.”
