For those without elections on May 2nd…..
we are asking you to help in the Counties and Unitaries. The Conservatives are defending 1450 seats (and 26 councils), the Lib Dems are defending 470, Labour just 250 (and 1 council). We are in second place in over half of those Tory seats and close behind Labour in many of theirs.
This is a huge opportunity to maintain the momentum from Eastleigh.
If you can’t make any other days please prioritise

  • Saturday 20th April – Postal Vote Action Day
  • Saturday 27th April – Final Weekend Action Day
  • Thursday 2nd May – Polling Day

For those with elections, candidates and agents in May:
The four-day weekend is perfect to get your final pre- expenses literature out. But don’t forget to take so some time with the family/friends  –  it’s going to be a tough four weeks.
Depending on your religious convictions, Good Friday is perhaps a day for doing invisible things, artworking, batching leaflets, writing blue letter envelopes etc…
But the rest of the weekend is fair game for activity With lighter evenings as the clocks going back on Sunday it should be all systems go!

For anyone who is doing their nomination papers this week, why not use a list of supporters who’ve responded to recent surveys and Focuses and  anybody who used to deliver but had stopped. You can use the necessary visits for the nomination paper to reactivate deliverers, get poster or stakeboard sites and get supporters onto postal votes six confirmed poster sites. By targeting the right people you can mulitply the benifits to the campaign of an otherwise mundane job.

Legal Deadlines coming up:

  • Friday 5th April Noon –  Deadline for submission of Nominations

Checklist for this week

  • Submit nominations!!!!!
  • Deliver any remaining pre-election literature over the weekend – ideally, leaflets and direct mail
  • Deliver a mailing to postal voters and a postal vote recruitment letter to supporters without.
  • Letter to supporters asking for their help in the campaign, include an appeal for money! Including a poster?
  • Canvass main roads (for posters) and postal voters
  • Distribute blue envelopes to clerical helpers for address writing

Happy Easter
