The sites can be used by elected councillors and candidates; we can help you to develop your site so that it is best suited to your requirements.
All ALDC members are entitled to a free MyCouncillor site. They can be set up for individuals or groups and we’ll work with you to set up a title and web address.
By setting up a website, you’ll be able to direct residents to an online place where you can explain your ideas in more detail – saving valuable space in literature and emails. It’s also a space to introduce yourself and your site will come with an ‘About Me’ page ready to be filled in. You can see some examples of sites here:
- Cllr Howard Sykes (blogging site)
- Cllr Tim Pickstone (business card design)
- Bury Lib Dems (ward example)
Following the Election Law changes to online imprints, introduced in Autumn 2023, we now recommend that you include an imprint on the front page of your mycouncillor site at all times. Find out how to insert an imprint to your site here. More information about the legal imprint changes can be found here.
