Our friends in Oldham have copied us into three motions going to council on April 2nd:

Personal Taxation

Acknowledging the Liberal Democrat achievement of the £10,000 income tax threshold and supporting our Spring Conference call to move the threshold to match the minimum wage (currently £12,500) in the next parliament.

Jobs and Europe

Supports the “WhyIAmIn” campaign and demonstrates the importance of exports to the EU as a means of securing employment and economic recovery.

Metrolink

Seeking to add a direct Oldham-Manchester Piccadilly tram service after the expansion of the Metrolink network (the “second city crossing”).

We have also started moving a selection of recent council motions into the new “Your Motions” section of the ALDC File Library. ALDC members can browse and download them there.

If you would like to submit any motions for inclusion in the Your Motions collection, please email them to our Campaigns Officer John Bridges.
