The Fawcett Society and LGIU are running a year-long commission into the under-representation of women on councils: only 32% of councillors and 25% of local government chief executives are women.

The next open evidence session is at 1.00pm on Tuesday 21 February at Camden Town Hall and it will look at the lack of women at the top of council officer structures, the reasons behind this, and the impact it has on councillors. Email Andrew.bazeley@fawcettsociety.org.uk to book a place now if you want to share your views with the commission.
