Following the fantastic response to our summer programme, applications are now open for the next Future Leaders Programme.
The summer programme was really well received, bringing together talented and ambitious Liberal Democrats to develop their skills, learn from experienced mentors, build new connections and think about where their political journey could take them next.
Now we’re offering another group the chance to take part.
The Future Leaders Programme is specifically for Liberal Democrats who want to develop their campaigning and leadership skills and move forward in their political careers within the Party.
You might already be a councillor or candidate. You might be a community campaigner thinking about taking on a bigger role, have ambitions to stand for Parliament, or simply know that you have more to contribute and want the skills and support to take that next step.
Wherever you are on that journey, this programme is an opportunity to invest in your future.
Led by experienced mentors, the programme combines high-quality training, mentoring, networking, discussion and reflection in a supportive environment. You’ll also meet other Liberal Democrats from across the country who share your ambition to make a difference.
The response to our summer programme demonstrated just how valuable it can be to bring people together and give them the time, expertise and support to develop their potential.

The programme takes place at Yarnfield Park in Staffordshire.
The cost of attending is £210, which includes your accommodation, meals, training and mentoring.
However, don’t let cost put you off applying. Thanks to funding support, fully subsidised places are available for those who need them, and we may also be able to help with travel costs.
If you are able to pay the £210 fee, please let us know when you apply. Doing so helps us make more fully subsidised places available to people who otherwise might not be able to attend.
