All Royal Mail stamps now have barcodes on them. Old stamps without a barcode are now invalid and cannot be used. However the Royal Mail does have a process for exchanging old stamps for valid barcoded ones.
You can download a stamp swap out form and follow the instructions to exchange any old stamps you have in your local party.
