Scottish By-Elections Update

We have had a frantic start to the year with by-elections and wanted to update you on the state of play.

Firstly we would like to thank Mevrick Fernandes for standing in Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone in Aberdeen City and gaining a vote share increase, despite the huge campaign put in by Labour, Conservatives and the SNP in a 3-way marginal seat. He has set the seat up well for us to win in 2027 and the local team did excellently.

Tomorrow on 9th March is the Corstophine/Murrayfield by-election in Edinburgh. This is a brilliant chance for us to make a gain from the SNP and we hope to win. If you can help on polling day either by doing knock ups or Good Morning leaflets, please contact local organiser Ed Thornley at Together we can help get Fiona Bennett elected!

Next week (16th March) is the Dunblane and Bridge of Allan by-election in Stirling where Dick Moerman is standing for us. This is a ward we narrowly missed out by a handful of votes in 2022 so is a key 150 Rising Target, so all help for the local team would be appreciated. If you can help please let Dick Moerman know at – they are knocking on lots of doors and also have plenty of leaflets to deliver.

By-Elections are a great opportunity for us – we hope to see you in Edinburgh and Stirling in the coming week.
