ALDC are really excited for the return of in-person Scottish Conference from 28 -30 October in Hamilton and it is set to be a huge event. To mark this exciting event we are taking part in a number of ways and we want to encourage you as our Scottish members to take part.
We are going to be running two training events aimed at councillors – Making an impact on the Council and Campaigning on the Council. If you are either a newly elected councillor or a returning councillor we would encourage you to come along to what should be some great training and discussions. Normally this type of training takes place at our Councillor’s Weekend as part of Kickstart so this is a great opportunity to take part in Scotland.
The Association of Scottish Liberal Democrat Councillors and Campaigners also have some great events taking place. On the Saturday of Conference they have their AGM taking place, and they have also put forward a motion on Liberal Democrats strengthening Local Government which we would encourage you to join.
We are also running a stall at Conference which will have a lot of exciting materials and allow you to chat to us about what you are keen to see from us.
Most excitingly, we have our Saturday evening drinks reception fringe just before the Conference Dinner – join us as we celebrate our massive success in this year’s Council Elections in Scotland!
