RESOURCES: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organised by major breast cancer charities every October. The campaign’s aim is to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

Along with events in your local area, we are advising that you make sure people know how to get checked and know the signs. We all know that detecting breast cancer early can mean that treatment is more effective. As a result, we have written this simple MyCouncillor story for your site:

It is also worth sharing videos on your various social media platforms again about how people get checked. Here’s an example video from Breast Cancer Now.
