With Welsh local elections approaching fast, ALDC is offering a comprehensive training package to support groups and local parties prepare for May 2017. These opportunities are open to all Welsh Lib Dems.
THREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
First, we are holding our ‘JumpStart’ training day at the Elim Centre in Brecon on Saturday 9th July. There will be a range of training and sessions to help make sure you are getting candidates in place, are planning winning campaigns and that you have the basic skills you need. We will also be able to show you the extra resources available to Welsh ALDC members and how to make use of them. The cost, including tea and coffee (but not lunch) is £10 per person.
Secondly, ALDC’s flagship ‘Kickstart’ weekends take place in Stone, Staffordshire. Two different dates are available – Friday 2nd September to Sunday 4th September or Friday 25th November to Sunday 27th November. The weekends combine mentoring sessions, either for teams or individuals (if you are not part of a team) with a range of training and plenary seminars. There are over 25 different training sessions across the weekend, meeting the needs of first time candidates through to seasoned campaigners.
The price includes accommodation and all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch inclusive. Welsh members are able to benefit from attending for HALF PRICE if they also attend the ‘JumpStart’ day.
Finally, ALDC will be present at the Welsh Autumn Conference in North Wales in October. There will be a choice of training sessions and local teams will be able to book one to one consultations on their campaign.
More details on ‘JumpStart’ and online booking will follow in next weeks email.
