Major Funding Boost for ALDC

The team at ALDC, Liberal Democrat Campaigners and Councillors, is delighted to announce that Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Ltd (JRRT) has agreed to fund a major piece of ALDC work over the next five years (2016-2020).

The funding of £480,000 over five years is to support the organisation’s team of Development Officers, who are based around the country to work with Lib Dems at a local level to boost campaigning, capacity and help win elections. JRRT currently supports this work, but the new funding is for an additional Development Officer to take the team up to four.

Cllr Tim Pickstone, ALDC’s Chief Executive said:

“This is really good news. ALDC’s only priority is for us to win more local elections, and this funding will mean that we are able to work at a local and regional level, and continue to play a leading role in the regrowth of the Lib Dems across the country. All of us at ALDC want to say a huge thank you to JRRT for their continued support.”

Tim Farron MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats said:
“I would like to thank the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Ltd for their support. There is much work for the Party to do and, linked in to our overall plans to grow capacity and rebuild electoral success, this funding can make a real difference to our fightback.”

ALDC’s Development Officers are available to work with local parties and teams to develop your campaigning. Please get in touch if you would like us to work with you in your area.

A recruitment process for a fourth Development Officer will take place shortly and will be advertised widely within the Party.
