Message from the Centre for Public Scrutiny

Dear Councillors,
As some of you may know, the Centre for Public Scrutiny is currently seeking respondents for our Annual Survey, which closes April 24th2015.
The Centre is aware that this is a very busy time of year for you with the local and general elections but we strongly urge you to take a few minutes and complete it. You input is important and appreciated. Without it, the Centre is unable to accurately assess the state of overview and scrutiny across England and Wales.
In an election year, it’s essential that we go to the incoming Government with strong, evidence-based views and ideas about how council governance can be supported and strengthened. This survey is central to this work. A greater number of responses strengthens the evidence base for our arguments and helps ensure we are in the best position to petition the Government and assist you in your needs.
