As part of our Future Funding campaign, the LGA will be using Tuesday 24 March as a day to focus on the financial pressures local government is facing, and highlight the good work councils are doing to set budgets despite reduced resources.
During the day, we will be looking to stress financial pressures in the media but also across social media, particularly on Twitter where we will be launching our Future Funding film and using a number of infographics to lay out the scale of the problem and call on the next government to protect local government funding.
There are a number of ways that you can get involved:
- We’re starting the day with a Thunderclap on Twitter, please sign up and encourage fellow Lib Dems to do the same.
- Share examples of work that councils are doing to highlight funding pressures with us and we can share them on the day.
- Follow and contribute to the discussion on Twitter, using the hashtag #futurefunding.
