About us
The LGA is the national voice of local government. We work with councils to support, promote and improve local government. We are a politically-led, cross-party organisation which works on behalf of councils to ensure local government
has a strong, credible voice with national government. We aim to influence and set the political agenda on the issues that matter to councils so they are able to deliver local solutions to national problems.
About the role
Liberal Democrats in Local Government are looking for an experienced senior advisor to confidently manage the political activity for the group in the Local Government Association (LGA). You will work directly with the Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, the Group Executive and other politicians, furthering the Group’s interests in the LGA and in local government and helping to influence government and government policy.
Working across local government in England and Wales you will visibly contribute at the highest levels. In addition you will need experience of managing staff and budgets, leading high profile events and managing resources to achieve our objectives.
