The Annual General Meeting of ALDC takes place on Saturday 18 September, 8.00pm, Liverpool Hilton Grace Suite 1.

 

The meeting is open to all members of ALDC, there is some wine and soft drinks available on arrival. Immediately after the formal business we are joined by the Party President Baroness Ros Scott who will present the 2010 Campaigner Awards.

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting 19 September 2009

The last Annual General Meeting of ALDC was held last year in Bournemouth. The meeting will be asked to approve the minutes as a correct record. 

 

Report of the Management Committee 2009-2010

A summary report of the Management Committee, listing 10 key achievements over the last year, was circulated to all members as the centrespread of the recent Campaigner magazine. 

ALDC’s Chief Executive will introduce the report and take any questions from members. If you’re not able to attend please let us know any questions you would like to raise in advance. 

 

Accounts 2009

Mike Ward, ALDC’s Treasurer will present ALDC’s Audited Accounts for 2009. These can be downloaded here

 

In 2009 ALDC recorded a small surplus. The Management Committee agreed this at the start of the year as the first part of a process to return the Association to having a basic minimum level of reserves after three successive years of a small deficit.

Auditors 2010

Members will vote on the appointment of Riley and Co as ALDC’s Auditors for 2010. 

 

Membership Fees 2011

The Annual General Meeting needs to set the membership fees for the subsequent calendar year. 

 

The current membership rate (for 2010) is £78.00, with an additional £10 for a joint membership. The discount for Group Members is 12%. 

At the start of 2010 the Association abolished the previous system of having two tiers of membership: “Silver” and “Gold”. It agreed at the 2009 AGM to raise the membership fee for the former “silver” members over a period of a few years. 

In 2010 the membership fee for former silver members has been £57. 

 

The proposal from the Management Committee for the membership fee for 2011 is: 

 

Membership fee of £80, with an extra £10 for joint membership. The discount for Group Members is 12%

The special price for former Silver members (prior to 31/12/2009) will be £68).
