The Women’s Local Government Society will be meeting in Birmingham on Saturday 21st March 2009. The day will include an update on our activities and discussion about how we can meet our aims.
This year they have focused on the drive to recruit more women candidates, and launched their ‘find a friend’ pack available on the website. We are also lobbying and campaigning to help make sure women have fair access to winnable seats, and have the support they need once they are elected.
