The nominations for ALDC’s 2008-2009 Management Committee have now closed, and the Returning Officer has declared that the following nominations have been received and accepted. As the correct number of nominations for each post have been received there will be no ballot of members this year.

No nominations were received for either Scottish or Welsh Reps, normally a co-option is made at the first meeting of the Committee after consultation with colleagues in Scotland and Wales.
There have been some changes this year, and thanks go to a number of members of the Committee who have moved on, or moved to different positions, after many years of service to the organisation:
Sarah Boad after a second period as Chair of the organisation – most recently as chair for the last four years. Sarah will now be the Secretary of the organisation. John Commons after four years as Vice-Chair, and also as a Management Committee member before that who is leaving the committee. Jean Crossland who has been our secretary for the last two years, and before that Treasurer for five years, who will now be serving as an ordinary member of the Committee. And Linda Forbes, leaving us after a number of years on the Committee.
