This is an exciting opportunity to work for ALDC as a Campaigns and Communications Officer.
We are based in Ancoats in central Manchester. The ALDC team consists of nine staff members based in Manchester with hybrid working, and five Development Officers based around Britain. We run a successful internship programme and are supported in our work by over 150 volunteers.
We are looking for someone with a background in graphic design and/or campaigns and communications. We want someone who can produce high quality, effective comms to our members and produce templates for them to use. Experience in local government is desirable alongside the ability to develop political campaigns and give political advice. A familiarity with online email systems and websites would also be useful.
The post in 35hours a week, including some evening and weekend work and is based in our central Manchester office with the opportunity for hybrid working.
Benefits include remuneration at Local Government scales Scale 5 –Scale SO1. Currently that is £28,598 to £36,363. Appointment will be at the lower end of the scale, inclusion in ALDC’s NEST pension scheme including 8% employer contributions, flexible and hybrid working and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays for full time members of staff rising to 28 days after long service.
