Applications for a G8 Grant towards your 2026 Local Election campaign are now closed. This page contains information for successful applicants.
G8 is a funding scheme to help elect more Liberal Democrats in local government. It is funded by the Federal, English, Scottish and Welsh parties, managed by the G8 Committee and administered by ALDC.
The 2026 G8 programme will be made up of two rounds of direct mail which will be posted to voters in early 2026 prior to the election expense period. This is to a priority group of voters in each ward, for example ‘squeeze’ voters. G8 is NOT a cash grant. G8 also focuses on supporting potential Lib Dem gains in council elections.
The two artwork deadlines are:
10am on Monday 19 January 2026
10am on Monday 9 February 2026.
