Stephen Robert Lawrence Harper says

Yes, what a poor result for the Liberal Democrat party, terrible for the
Conservative as well. I assume very little effort was made to persuade
people to embrace liberal democracy. Perhaps they need to adopt a
tougher line on immigration, incidentally that is a subject the party
seems reluctant to discuss !

Ed Stephenson says

Hi Stephen, to the contrary we have excellent policy on immigration, in particular we are the only party who have a viable way to end Asylum Hotels by getting people to work while they wait for their applications to be processed. Most people on the doors agree with this which is great, and it happens to also be sensible. Of course we have other priorities too.

It is a poor result unfortunately. Bit of an outlier for the Lib Dems though, thankfully. We have had a super set of results against Reform and a clearly the only party who seems to be able to stand up to them and win. In fact we won about 80% of head to head contests with them in the local elections.
