Following another fantastic set of local election results the Liberal Democrats now have either the Leader, or Deputy Leader, of over 90 principal councils.

We are now in administration in more local councils than the Conservatives and Reform UK put together. We have just short of 3200 local councillors across Britain.
Congratulations to Liberal Democrat groups in Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and Shropshire – all of whom took majority control of their councils in May’s elections.
Congratulations too to Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and Wiltshire Liberal Democrats who all took the leadership of their councils following their excellent Liberal Democrat results. We run these councils as either minority administration or joint administrations.
It was a tough elections in many places and we are sorry to any Liberal Democrat administrations who have been unable to continue following the elections and their council AGM. We are sure you’ll be back.
