The next Kickstart event will take place on the weekend of 20-22 June 2025. As always with June’s Kickstart it will run alongside the Councillors Weekend (run in partnership with LGA Liberal Democrats). This year there will also be a new weekend course on Affinity Publisher too.

Kickstart
Kickstart is the best campaign training weekend the Liberal Democrats have to offer. You will receive bespoke mentoring for you and your local team, a choice of dozens of training sessions separated into dedicated learning pathways (such as Messaging or Capacity Building). Kickstart will help put together the campaign plan needed to get the result you want at your next election.
Councillors Weekend (with LGA Lib Dems)
The Councillors Weekend provides dedicated training, briefings and panel discussions for councillors both recently elected and experienced. It provides amazing networking opportunities to share best practice. This year there is a dedicated programme of training on Local Government Reorganisation. Any newly elected Councillor this May is encouraged to go. It will be a great introduction to the role and set you up with lasting relationships.

Affinity Weekend
We are running a two day course on Affinity Publisher over the weekend. This will take you through the basics but also cover advanced skills so you can design amazing quality leaflets. There will be gaps in the course so you can also attend training sessions around the Affinity course.
