With just over two weeks to go until KickStart, teams from across the country are getting ready for a great weekend of campaigning advice and planning.
From Friday 2 September until Sunday 4 September, Lib Dems will come together to work on their campaign plans for the election in May 2017 and beyond.
There will be training and advice on everything from writing a plan for winning one ward to fundraising, using Connect to leading a team.
Experienced mentors will be working with teams to provide advice and challenge on their plans and help make sure the elections in 2017 are successful.
If you are coming to KickStart in September, here are a few things you might want to do before you arrive.
- Talk to other members of your team about what it is you want to get out of the KickStart weekend. Is it to start a plan for a future election or is it to learn some key skills that you need support with.
- There is a lot of training on the agenda – save some time now and plan who is going to attend which training session
- Gather together any campaign plans and recent literature that you have – this will really help your mentor see what you have been doing already in your area
- Plan how you will share the information and plans from KickStart with members of your team that won’t be at the weekend
There are still places available at KickStart in September and limited Early Bird places for KickStart on 25-27 November – more details are available here.
All the team at ALDC look forward to seeing friends and colleagues from around the country very soon!
