Jobs Campaign Day of Action – The Final Week!

On Saturday 28th September, Liberal Democrats across the country will be taking part in a national Day of Action to celebrate our success in helping add over one million new jobs to the economy since 2010 and calling for a million more.

Alongside the positive job creation figures, Liberal Democrats can also be proud of our role in the record expansion of apprenticeships for young people and the creation of the Youth Contract to target youth unemployment, which remains stubbornly high.

The Jobs Day of Action aims to generate national and regional coverage that will amplify the actions that Lib Dem campaigners take locally to spread this positive message. The party are giving support, including a range of artwork materials and planning packs, to all teams taking part.

If you haven’t yet, there is still time to register your action day on the campaign’s official website.

Other tasks for the final week include:

  • Final phone around of friends and helpers, firm up promises and get arrival times from your definites
  • Maps, maps, maps! – walk maps, Action Day HQ maps, make sure every angle is covered
  • Leaflets printed, bundled and ready to distribute
  • Lists in Connect, if your activities involve targeted door-knocking or phoning

Wherever you are, and whatever activities you plan on doing, please sign up and integrate your own campaign’s with the party’s national drive to highlight an important local issue and a great Lib Dem ‘win’!
