Do you ever wonder how local and national politics affect your daily life? Do you know what it takes to influence government policy? Do you want to make a difference in your community? Find out more about women in parliament and local government at this new, bespoke workshop.
We’re looking for women who want to find out more about politics and we’ll provide you with information and tips about how to influence change and make a difference in your community.
This is also a great chance to meet other women who are passionate and ambitious and ready to stand for what they believe in.
We know that women are underrepresented in politics at all levels in the UK. This workshop, during European Local Democracy Week, will give you the chance to hear from women who are active in politics to find out what it’s really like.
Curious? Then come along!
PLEASE NOTE: Visiting Portcullis House will require going through some airport style security. Please see guidance on security and screening at the venue here: www.parliament.uk/visiting/access/. The event will start at 6pm, and therefore you will need to allow time ahead of this to get through the security.
