Five Things to do in February
ALDC Development Officer Neil Fawcett picks five things to fit in before the end of the month to help your campaigns.
Manchester Phone Bank – See You Thursday?
The joint ALDC and Team 2015 Manchester Phone Bank had its second session. Here’s a quick report and an open invite to join us tomorrow if you’re nearby.
ALDC Fighting Fund
We’ve been building the ALDC Fighting Fund since the autumn and now we are starting to invest. Find out more, and how you can help, here.
Local Government Conference Dates Announced
Book the weekend in your diary now. ALDC and our friends at the LGA Liberal Democrat Group will be putting on the 2015 Local Government Conference in Manchester on 19-20 June.
ALDC File Library
The Resources section of the ALDC File Library has everything you need to find out about government investment in your area. ALDC members can download localisable statistics on national policy issues from our Policy and Guides sub-folder, including recent announcements on extra local health service funding, extra Individual Electoral Registration Funding, and LDHQ’s latest digest of policy figures for each local authority area.
As a companion to this week’s Full Slates Pack, we’d like to highlight the Candidacy section of Ask ALDC. Have a quick look over our FAQs on Approvals, Selection, and Eligibility to make sure you’re on the right track.
ALDC Facebook Group
Over in the ALDC Facebook Group, recent discussions have included:
• Devolution of health spending to Greater Manchester
• Single-person’s discount exemptions in local authority housing
• Production of Lib Dem-branded cycle jerseys!
If you aren’t already a member of the Facebook group, look us up and apply to join today.
