ALDC is recruiting for a new position of Senior Political Officer. Full Time. SO2 – PO1 c £26,700 – £31,400
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors to take forward our work to support local councillors and campaigners within the Party.
ALDC is a membership organisation that brings together Liberal Democrat councillors and campaigners. We have ambitious plans to take forward liberal democracy and campaigning at a local level.
The new post of Senior Political Officer will head up our small team of political officers, coordinating and developing our support for councillors and help for campaigners. You and the team will be providing advice, writing articles and publications and providing training and group support.
You will be working closely with our partners the Campaigns Department and local government support agencies to make sure we maximise our impact for our members and the Party.
The post is based in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, and will act as deputy to ALDC’s Chief Executive in his absence.
To do this role you will have: – extensive experience of Liberal Democrat campaigning- experience of leading and managing teams- good communication, training and interpersonal skills
