ALDC is an organisation that brings together Liberal Democrat councillors and campaigners across Great Britain.

FACT: ALDC members are 3½ times MORE LIKELY to be re-elected than other Lib Dem Councillors! (2006 local elections)

You don’t to be a councillor to join ALDC, but you do need to be a member of the Liberal Democrats.

What do members receive?

Joint Membership

Two people living at the same home address can join ALDC as joint members for an additional £5 on top of their gold or silver membership. Joint members receive all the same benefits as all members, but we only send you one copy of our postal mailings.

Group Membership

Why not join the growing number of Council Groups who are in Group Membership of ALDC - including our whole group of Westminster MPs! Group membership is where a whole council group joins ALDC together. Many council groups who do this pay their ALDC membership fees through their group funds. Please use this draft motion (MS Word) proposing ALDC Group Membership for your AGM.

• pay monthly or annually by direct debit, or by annual invoice
• any combination of gold, silver or joint members
• We can make special arrangements for councillors who are members of more than one authority
• Many groups now add on their agents, political assistants and target candidates onto their group membership
